When December comes, it will be 2 years since my first period..however, my flow isn't even...like I get it every 2-3 months...It's unexpected..I don't know what to do because I don't want to tell my mom to take me to a gynocologist...however I don't want to have a fertility problem when I'm older. I don't know what to do..should I just wait a couple more months to see if it straightens out or should I take action now?

She may be able to call the doctors office and get some info, but they will probably want to see you anyway.
I don't know if this might cause problems later in life. A lot of girls aren't real regular. Every 2-3 months though should probably be checked on. It is possible that the doctor can put you on the pill or something to help regulate them for you. Then, at least you would know when they were coming and wouldn't be taken by surprise.
Here is a website that explains a GYN visit. That way, if you do go (and I think it would be wise) you will know what to expect.
Becka323 answered Sunday November 20 2005, 11:04 pm: That may be normal, but there also could be a problem. I would talk to your mom about it, It happens to the best of us (almost all of us) and I'm sure she will be fine with taking you to see the doctor and getting you checked out. I would take action as soon as possible because most likely its fine just abnormalities can be a sign of a larger problem. [ Becka323's advice column | Ask Becka323 A Question ]

So what you are experiencing now is completely normal and nothing to visit the gynocologist about. It's normal and happens to all girls who just got their period. I've had mine for nearly 5 years and sometimes it STILL isn't on a regular basis. There IS a way to fix this and that is by going on birth control pills. However, that is something you would have to discuss with your mother and a gynocologist. [ xXxpinky615xXx's advice column | Ask xXxpinky615xXx A Question ]

sizzlinmandolin answered Sunday November 20 2005, 8:47 pm: There's absolutely nothing wrong with you. What is happening to you is perfectly normal. It is very rare that women who first get their periods are regular. Mine sure wasn't for at least 4 years. There's nothing you need to do or change. If you want, you can go on birth control pills, which should make your period more regular, but that would require seeing a doctor and what not. Hope I helped!
