What is the main purpose of the Declaration of Independence???

well the main purpose of the Declaration of Independence is that on July 4th,1776 declared their independence from Great Britain so pretty much the colonies were free and independent states and no longer part of the British government [♥]

The main purpose of the Declaration of Independence was the United States officially denying themselves King George's/England's people. Thus, they were stating their independence.
