Question Posted Wednesday November 16 2005, 7:57 pm

Well my neighbor who is like my best friend is throwin' hints that he likes me or whateva, but he won't come out and say it. When I ask him questions to kinda "trap" him into tellin' me he always comes out with something for us either to start arguing or to get off the phone. How can I get him to tell me how he really feel?

he probably doesnt want to come right out and say it for fear of rejection. first you need to know how you will react to either answer. you dont want to find out he does only to crush his hopes by saying, "oh sorry i dont like you that way". instead of trying to "trap" him, be blunt with him. ask him straight out if he likes you or how ever you want to word it. if he refuses to answer then you may want to just totally drop the subject.

don't push him. i don't think he's ready to tell you, so don't make him. give him time to decide if he really likes you, and for the time being, just hang out with him. if you can't get him to tell you then just be great friends. hope it helped! ~*~*Lynne*~*~

Ask your friend to ask him or get one of his friends to casually talk about
it may be a good idea

He's already telling you how he feels. If you are looking for proof, it's in everytime that he changes the subject or tries to get out of the conversation. Why not try going out to do things that you both like to hang out more and see if he'd be willing to tell you then. With him, I imagine he's shy, you might have to be the one to make the move or ask him out.
