ok i love fire and i love watching it ........ well today i almst burn down my house because i lit something on fire that i couldnt put out....... how do i stop this!!!!! is there anything i can do to stop mself from playing with fire!??!
happy-helper answered Saturday November 12 2005, 12:16 pm: If you like fire, there is nothing wrong with that. BUT - You MUST be safe with it. Ensure you always have a glass/small bucket of water near you so if something like that were to happen again, it wouldn't be so bad. Also, make sure that you don't burn yourself! It'd be preferable if you watched fire ouside, perhaps outside your front door...
G'luck!

pyromaniacs burn things out of compulsion - this is an actual psychological disorder - if you are a true pyromaniac, you should seek professional help with this.
I knew a girl was an alcoholic and a pyromaniac. She would get piss drunk and set things on fire, like her own apartment, the dumpster behind her house (almost setting the electrical lines on fire), or the house next door (guy woke up to the smell of lighter fluid and her on their porch trying to light it on fire with a bottle of beer in her hand). She failed out of college, to say the least. [ MFS's advice column | Ask MFS A Question ]
