Alright well I'm going to get my hair cut soon and i want an "emo" hair cut. I don't like calling it that but thats the only way I can figure out how to explain it! So if anyone knows how I can explain the "emo/scene" hair to my stylist that would be GREAT! And also if you have any pictures I can go by that would be awsome too. I've looked everywhere but can't find anything.
I'm a girl by the way! Thanks so much.
And please no shit if you don't like emo hair get over it I do.
MyHappyShoe answered Wednesday November 9 2005, 7:42 pm: ask for a faux (pronounced like the word "doe") hawk.. your stylist will know what one is.. it's really cute if your skinny and have a long face [ MyHappyShoe's advice column | Ask MyHappyShoe A Question ]

Kr4z3y_Ch3lly answered Tuesday November 8 2005, 10:13 pm: basically its just a bunch of layers..so ask for a bunch of layers starting from about your nose down.
Nevaeh314 answered Tuesday November 8 2005, 9:40 pm: Get it cut like in layers going from your chin in the front and then like up, framing your face and neck, then in the back cut it to about an inch and a half so you can spike it out. It's a popular emo look, you should be able to find it if you don't know what I'm talking about.
Takes a bit of work to style, like using the gel/mousse to spike it, possibly blow-drying it, but this style works really well as long as you don't have super-thin hair.
