so i write a lot, mainly poetry.... but lately ive lost my inspiration.... how do i find inspiration?

im the same way you are, and you should just jot down randum things on a piece of paper, like what you like, what your friends like and stuff like that... hope this helps a fellow poet in need!

You just need to write about something that comes from your heart, what your feeling. Do you like anybody at the moment? Maybe write a poem about them or maybe write about your favorite/least favorite seasona nd what you like/dislike about it. You just need to find something that interests you alot and start to write about it. Maybe write about your friends or family or yourself. =] I hope I helped!

Great question! I love poetry so much!!!! I used to write it all the time. You should try to find inspiration by sharing your poems with people who would enjoy reading them very much. Maybe show them to your parents, any other relatives, teachers, really close friends, or you can also share them with me!!!! I would love to read your poems! I'm sure their awesome. you just have to let your insperation come from your heart! i saw a picture of dogs and i just had this sudden feeling in me that i should write a poem about dogs! whatever your thinking about, turn it into a poem.

Try finding a local open mike night in your area. If you could find a poetry slam that would be better. You don't have to preform, you can just do what I do...slip in the back and absorb the creativity. It may help.

At least in my case, I can't just sit down and write good poetry and any time. Inspiration is all around you. When you see something in a different light, or this crazy metaphor pops into your head, run with it. It works for me.

I find music to pick me up and inspire me, usually jazz or classical pieces, songs with out words. Another good inspiration is movies, any kind of movies. Of course, there is my main motivation, which is love. Wether or not you find it or not, keep it or lose it, you can write about it and its limitless only fuels your creativity to the greatest goal which man can aspire to...in other words, go ahead and write anything and everything about it. Oh yeah, try reading your old poems, that might give you the spark you need. Hope that helped and good luck.

hey well maybe you should enter some poetry contests to really get yourself working and thinking about your peotry. you could also maybe (if your into this sort of thing) research another famous poet, and read all about them and i think that might give you some inspiration to do great things of your own!

i write alot also ...normally i find inspriation by songs ...not rap or rock but like alternitive and songs with powerful lyrics they help you think ...good luck hope i helped
