picture upload
I am trying to get my picture in my advice column but all i have is a box with an X what do i need to do?

ok what i did was i found a picture i liked and put it on photobucket.com and uploaded it on there i then posted the url on the picture upload and it worked. It took me alittle bit to do it also but i finally got it if u need any further help you can instant message me and i will help you

well go on tinypic.com and put your pic on there and get the link and put it where it says URL of a picture of you and it should work !

the box with the x means the picture is not working for any number of reasons. make sure you have the right URL for the picture with no extra letters or symbols attached. if it still doesnt work, then i would just suggest to get another picture. if the box still comes up youre probably doing something wrong. if this happens inbox me so i can help you with step by step instructions lol

to big of a size
i would go to photobucket.com and upload it there
i had troubles until i went to that site and uploaded my pictures there

You need to go to your Profile Settings (on the left side of the page) to upload a picture onto your column. You can either host it on an image hosting site such as [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) or registering at [Link](Mouse over link to see full location). Once you've uploaded a picture there, copy the direct link and paste the URL in the proper section. If you want to upload a picture from your computer, make sure it's under 15K or else you need to shrink it. I think hosting a picture from another site is easier and you don't have to worry about shrinking the picture either.

right click and then click show picture as and it should show up.

Just host it - it's much easier, and definitely a whole lost faster.
You "host" something by going to: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) and SIGNING UP for a FREE account.
Then the page will refresh, and you should see a new page with an option to click on "BROWSE". Next, search your computer for the picture(s), and click "SUBMIT". Then the page will refresh yet again. You will see all/any images you happen to have on the new screen. Simply find the picture you want, and copy the PROVIDED URL in the top white slot.
Next, paste that URL in your "URL OF A PICTURE OF YOU" slot, on your "PROFILE SETTINGS" page.
It may sound difficult, but it's actually super easy. :D

Click profile settings on the left hand column of the page. When the settings page loads, scroll down and you should see where you can upload a picture from your computer. When you finish uploading your picture, scroll to the bottom of the settings page and click submit to save the settings.
Just remember that uploaded pictures have to be under 15k in size. If your picture is too big, there's instructions on how to resize it in the FAQ.
