For a little over a year, I've been trying to train my voice myself. I would like to get voice lessons, but that would take the place of guitar lessons.
My question is: How can I build support with my voice? I can't sing very loud or I go out of tune.
And do you have any other tips for singing?
Thanks much in advance!

If your going for any kind of singing comp or anything lesson whatever never drink milk or eat chocolate within 24 hours before you perform nothing dary. thanx for the ratings you can Email me anytime by replying this message if you have any other questions. P.s it's really great you are getting a vocal coatch But be wise with who you choose. If you are into pop singing you should find someone who deals with pop. But if your into classical singing you should find a classical vocal coatch and I don't mean old. You should also form a bond with them and let them know what songs you like to sing good luck and have fun, You will go far from the advice chick [ theadvicechick's advice column | Ask theadvicechick A Question ]
Minameisjackie answered Monday November 21 2005, 7:29 pm: Hey hun. Im a singer very good at it ;)
When I was 5, my mom bough me a microphone. I sang my heart out. I never ever in my whole life took singing lessons. I started out with songs like "Oh what a beautiful morning" and "Tomarrow" Those kinds of broadway songs.
It depends on the music you like. If you like rap I wouldn't suggest singing to that even know you like it. Country music is always nice to sing to.
I really reccomend the song "Independance Day" In the style of Carrie Underwood. She sings it beautfiuly. The words are high, low and meduim in the song so it goes up and down, which is the best way of training your voice.
Also, try not to drink caffine. Its the worst thing you can do to your voice. It will make it so one day you can't sing.
it takes practice to become a singer. Do you think one day i woke up and Sang "God bless the Usa? and I got a standing Obation? (sp?) Anyways. no. It took me years and years and YEARS with that song. You can't just become a good singer. You really have to put your mind to it.
I really hope I helped. If You want someone songs to practice to and singing tips, then contact me at jackieluvsyou94@Yahoo.com
