i have these little bumps on my nipples. my mom said they were just like pimples, but yeah, they're not going away. and they're gross. well, not really that bad, they're just little bumps, weird huh? anybody know anything about this? should i go 2 a doctor?

Sometimes they can be pimples, but I wouldn't suggest popping them. And no, you shouldn't go to a doctor. There is nothing wrong with you.
But seriously... it really is just a part of what a girls nipple looks like. I'm sure if you were to search google and looked at a picture upclose of another woman's nipple, she'd have the same exact bumps on it.

First of all, ignore cutie, it is not cancer!!
Like people before have said most girl when they start to mature physically get these little bumps.
They are not harmful and although they aren't great to look at they will most likely go away after puberty (although some peoples don't)
If your Mom doesn't think that they are anything to worry about then chances are shes right! If you are really worried though then get her to take you to the doctors to get them checked out.

DumBlondeCanHelp answered Sunday October 30 2005, 9:17 am: Dont worry about it. Every girl gets it while maturing! But just in case you can go see a doctor becuase he'll know for sure, and he'll be able to tell you whats going with your body, and what you'll be expecting.
lulabelle answered Sunday October 30 2005, 8:40 am: There are a couple of things it could be. It is quite possible that they are mammary glands. These naturally appear on the areola (the circular pigmented area surrounding the nipple) and look like small pimple-like bumps. The purpose of these glands is to help women deliver milk to babies when they are breastfeeding. Also, the nipple is surrounded by hair follicles, and the hair can be found around the outside of the areola. The amount of hair varies from woman to woman and usually begins growing around puberty. This hair growth increases as you grow. This is completely normal and not a medical problem. It couldn’t hurt to be checked out by a doctor, but, if your mother isn’t worried, I wouldn’t worry.
honestymatters answered Sunday October 30 2005, 1:39 am: Dear Gross...sorry,
What you are talking about usually happens to girl when they start to mature. If you feel your nipples becoming more sensitive to pressure or the cold, or the brown area gets bigger, see a doctor. They can't give you life advice, but they can tell what is going on in your body. Take care
