You might have just slept on your side wrong. Sometimes that happens to me.. well not to my rib cage area, but my fingers. And arms. So i'm sure you slept on it wrong.

You probably slept on it wrong. Try stretching it by doing trunk twist and leaning to the side. Put some heat on it, and if it does not clear away in a few days, see a doctor.

If it the side but more towards your back I could guess you pulled something.

I do this all the time. I finally discovered I was turning my upper body but not my lower. I think that is what may cause it.

It will hurt for about a week. It does go away after that. I don't know much you can do for it.
I have cut down on having it ( I think once you get it once it will do it again more easily), by turning my whole body instead of just the upper half.

You should probably go to a doctor and find out for sure. Since I am not one. It does sound familiar though. :)

Take some advil but otherwise just see how it feels tomorrow morning. You might have just slept on it wrong and it might wear off by the end of the day- i'm not sure when you wrote this. If it continues to hurt for a few days make an appt. with a doctor.

What probably happened is that you slept on your rib cage wrong or your just sore. Just do stretches and twist around from your hip bone and tell me if it works. catch ya later.

When in doubt - see a doctor. If the pain is sharp and strong, you should definitely see a doctor - could be just a bruise, could be torn cartilege, could be a broken rib. Only by having it looked at will you be able to get an accurate diagnosis.
