I know what you're talking about. Garter's are like Mums. Mum and Garters are usually a texas thing, so yeah. want to see a picture of mine? I made one for my boyfriend this year. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
that's mine. It's basically just a bunch of ribbons stapled onto a round piece of cardboard.
If you need help on how EXACTLY to make it, drop one in my inbox.

Okay, well, garders are for weddings, not homecoming dances, and unless you're planning on marrying this guy....you don't need one. And you can't make them either. Wear something else, or you're inviting him to put his teeth up to your thigh. ]
you usually dont give t hem a garder- thats weddings. Usually you give them those flower things. its liek a flower bracelet. ]
Garders are meant for weddings, not homecomings. And you cant make one. It's an elastic band that goes on a girls thigh. At the end of the wedding (( reception )) the groom takes it off with his teeth. Unless you plan on getting the freaky freaky i suggest a corsage likee normal dates

A garter is a band that a girl wears around her thigh. It isn't something you give to a homecoming date...it's really something that you give to your fiance on your wedding day. Perhaps you should get her a corsage instead. ]
