There's this guy from work, and I'm pretty sure he likes me and/or is somewhat attracted to me... we're going to go and see The Corpse Bride about two weeks from now.. and he kissed me.. I just want to know how I can make this not just a 'friends with benefits' type of thing. How do I get him to officially ask me out, or tell me his feelings for me (whatever the heck they are..)?
15/f. (He's 16.. if that matters..)

for my advice to ask him out, maybe ask him to hang out with a bunch of your/his friends one night, or even go to a dance together. dances could break the ice id bet. whatever his intentions are, i would advise you to try and bring the truth out, because waiting for someone whose not there seems like a waste of time... good luck! AquamarineRose answered Sunday October 2 2005, 4:34 pm: Believe it or not, I was actually in that situation the other day. The only way you're going to be able to make something happen, is by talking about it. Yeah, it'll be akward, and it takes some guts, but it's quite worth it. Make sure you two are alone, and either bring it up in a conversation, or ask randomly..."What are we?" And he'll either say A)"Friends with benefits." B)"I dunno, what are we?" C)"Uhhhh..."
or if he is a smartass, D)"Human." To which you can reply...A)"Yeeeah, and I kinda want to be more than that." B)"The way I would label it would be friends with benefits, and I kinda want more than that." C)If he gives you that response, umm, it doesn't look too promising. D)"No shit. I mean us, as in what are we doing?" (Then you can probably insert a little of "B" in there.)
I'm not saying for you to say any of these things. They are just suggestions for whichever path you happen to take. I am, however, telling you to talk about it with him though. If you don't, he'll think that you are okay with just being friends with benefits. And, from how you put it, you want more, so tell him that. xxxxxx answered Sunday October 2 2005, 8:03 am: That's tough. You need to know what he's thinking first. Find out if he likes any other girls, is dating other girls, or kisses other girls while being with you. If you are the only guy he's seeing, then more likely than not, he will want a real relationship and none of the friends with benefits nonsense. I know that from experience and seeing it all the time. You should talk to him to see how he feels about you two if it seems like he's not going to any time soon. If thats too hard, get a friend or someone to ask him what he thinks. And if its too hard to say it in person, do it online, at least you'll know the truth. Good luck with that! bluejeanbaby answered Sunday October 2 2005, 1:51 am: Corpse Bride is the perfect movie to get the solution to your dilemma in motion. I shouldn't tell you the plot so I won't ruin it for you, but let's jsut say it deals with relationships (in a weird way), so you could probably bring the topic up pretty easily after just talking about the movie. It may not sound like it now, but after you see the movie you may get what i mean. [ bluejeanbaby's advice column | Ask bluejeanbaby A Question ]
