TheTeenGirl answered Sunday October 2 2005, 9:04 pm: Errr...I think you're asking the wrong person for music advice. At least not hip-hop, I'm not a hip-hop girl, sorry.
bluejeanbaby answered Sunday October 2 2005, 1:37 am: hip hop isn't usually my thing, but I don indulge in some. if you want something original you could go for a contemporary artist like Jem. She's a Welsh singer, and her stuff's pretty trippy. I dunno about stores, but ebay and Amazon probably have her CD (she only has one out). It's called "Finally Woken". I think her stuff's good souled plus she writes it herself! [ bluejeanbaby's advice column | Ask bluejeanbaby A Question ]
tangerine answered Sunday October 2 2005, 1:33 am: I'm not a huge fan of hip-hop so I'm probably the wrong person to ask haha, but try some of the Beastie Boys' stuff. They were pretty much the inventors of rap/hip-hop.

MsGolightly answered Sunday October 2 2005, 1:23 am: Hmm.. You could try "It's That Simple" by MOP, but that might be too "hard" for some people. Methods of Mayhem's album had some pretty good tracks on it, so check that out, even though it's a few years old.
If hip-hop influenced pop is more your thing, try the UK group Blue, especially their track, "Bubblin'."
