Well, tsunamis are really unpredictable. You never know when they're coming. They are unfortunately really bad natural disasters. You can probably research on google.com and find a better answer.

They happen all the time I believe, just most of them occur in the middle of the ocean where people aren't really cognizant of them. It also depends on where you live.
