First of all, congratulations! Getting your period is special, because it means that you're growing up. You have to tell your mom sometime, because she can help you and it will be really hard to keep this big secret from her. Practice by telling your mirror, your stuffed animals, your best friend, anybody! Just say: "I have my period." When you think you're ready, ask your mom if you can talk to her. Take a deep breath and remember that she went through this too. Say: "Mom, I have my period." If that's too hard, leave her a note and go to bed or something. Good luck! ]

oh honey there is nothing wrong with starting your period. go talk to your mom asap. remeber she was young once, and im sure she knows it is about that time for you, she is probley just as nervous as you are. ]
aww sweetie, its ok it happens to all of us. well if you know your mom went to the store or something, call her cell phone and ask her to pick up some pads and tampons for you. it might be easier on the phone. ]
Relax, menstration is normal part of being a girl. Your mom will not freak out on you, trust me she knows all about it. She will know how you feel and buy you the things you need and she will try and make it comfortable as possible as she can for you. Just talk to her about it, there is nothing to be ashamed about. Your body has to go through this stage, every girl's does it's part of growing up. Your mom will know one way or the other when your on your period anyways. Also if you still can't say it write it down and give it to her, then maybe she will approach you about it. Hope that helps. ]
if you're too afraid to go up and tell her yourself just get someone else to do it. ]
Just go up to her and tell her. or if thats too hard write her a note..or maybe if you have an older sister tell her. hope this helps
good luck
