neck pain
hi im thirteen and my moms been having really bad neck pain, i was just wondering if this could be a problem like a deadly thing because shes been getting headaches and she has been really tired lately and she doesnt seem very comfortable. but my main question is: is this serious?

It sounds to me like she might have mono, it is a virus caused by the epstien barr virus. It includes fatigue ( tiredness) neck pain and head aches. It may make her feel run down and extremely tired and sore. I'd still suggest she go and see her primary physician just to be on the safe side. Mono usually isn't serious unless she is hit in the stomach very hard, in which the reason is, sometimes with Mono the spleen swells, so she should be careful at least until mono is excluded not to be hit in the stomach by anything. Mono just usually has to run it's course, like the flu it is a virus and antibiotics will not take care of it.

tell her to go see a chiropractor, it may be something wrong, and chances are, they will know wether or not it is within the first 3 visits. and your insurance should cover the cost.

well i think it depends on how old your mom is. a lot of parents have things like that. but how long have this been happening it depends on that too? get back to me

It depends what it is caused by, i would advise her to go to the doctors, or if she can, try to strengthan her core muscles, eg the stomach muscles by doing crunches etc. this might decrease the amount of pain in the neck as this might be caused by not enought body strengh and could explain the headaches.

first of all your mother definitely needs to see a doctor. I don't think it is serious but in any case she needs to be checked out because it could be anything. just try to stay calm and help her out any way you can. I hope she is okay. Good luck.

it might not be fatal, but i would tell her to go to a sinus doctor and see if she is clogged.

I do not think she will die. I do have a feeling though there is a problem. I cannot and will not alarm you and nor do I know what. Neck pain along with headaches does not sound right. She is a responsible adult and hopefully see a doctor. In the meantime stop getting yourself upset. The problem could be minor and either way it is not good adding more fear into the picture than is there.
