And if you'd like to receive more questions in your Inbox, make sure you post the link to your advice column in your AIM info, for your friends to see. Also, answer many questions -- and answer them well. Be polite, and be honest. Present to people all solutions you see to their dilemma. It's all about building a name for yourself; you just have to get out there, ya know? One thing I can suggest is using proper grammar, and NOT asking people to rate or view your column - we hate that here. :] [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]

A reason you may want to answer more questions in the public question thing is this...The ratings you get on inbox questions do not count on your rating, unless you get a one. The fives do not count. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
MummuM answered Monday September 26 2005, 8:20 pm: It depends. If someone really loves your adivce, they will start asking you instead of the public. It's good to ask the public questions because you get more advice, from different kinds of people. If you always answer the public questions and you give out great advice, people will start to notice that. Then when they have a problem they'll come to you, instead of asking everyone.

Teza answered Monday September 26 2005, 7:29 pm: I get asked questions a lot in my inbox, but I love answering them lol. I guess people just ask the public because they get more answers and more opinions. [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
