Avril Lavigne is a fake. She doesn't even write her own shit "co-writing" is basicially pitching in three words.
People who write their own stuff?
Try almost everyone who hasn't sold out.
Splitzy answered Wednesday September 28 2005, 7:34 pm: I think that Avril co-writes her songs, so they are not COMPLETELY written by her, but they are somewhat.
My favorite band is Lostprophets, and they write all of their stuff... I highly highly highly recommend them (their album Start Something is fantastic)! [ Splitzy's advice column | Ask Splitzy A Question ]

dirkman answered Tuesday September 27 2005, 5:07 pm: Pennywise is awesome, so is Bad Religion, Dead Kennedys, Suicide Machines, The Disasters, Millencolin, Bouncing souls, and many other artists of that type. They all write there own songs. I doubt Avril does because main stream music is usually written for the artist, not by the artist. Thats why it all sounds the same. MFS answered Monday September 26 2005, 6:38 pm: Most rock bands write their own material. The people who crank out pop songs are the ones who typically do not write their own. Also, bands will do covers of older songs, too... don't discredit a band for doing that (unless their arrangement just really sucks) ;)
I believe Avril write her material, but I do not know if someone co-writes it with her. That is something to check out. [ MFS's advice column | Ask MFS A Question ]
