neighbour asked me out but i'm not interested.............
Yesterday one of the guys that lives in my appartment complex knocked on my door and asked me out. I told him that I had plans and he didn't look too happy.
First of all, I've always been told to never date a guy that lives in the same building as you because if it didnt work out it would be very awkward. Also, he's about 15 years older than me and I don't find him very attractive, he's bald with glasses and is really nerdy.
I've also heard from other people in the building that he can be a real jerk. One of my friends asked him once if the mail came and he told him to fuck off.
I've always been nice to him because I wanted everyone in the building to like me.
But now I don't know how to act.
I have no interest in him AT ALL.
The worst part is he lives only 3 appartments down the hallway from me, so we will always be running into each other.
What should I do?

Explain to him that you don't want to be in a relationship with him. If he still won't listen, get a cute guy and rub it in his face. That'lll get him to shut up. Hope I helped!

Just act as you have always acted. If he becomes a jerk to you, just ignore him. Love always comes over friendship, and if you don't love him, you need to remember that if love is neccassary for friendship, and you don't have the love, don't be friends. Besides, it doesn't seem like any harm can come from your morale in the building, he is seemingly hated.
Just don't be overly nice to him. Stick it to the point.

Don't lead him or tell him any exuses why you can't go out. Just tell him. You don't date older guys and that you just don't like him more then a friend and neighbor. He should understand. I mean you don't want to be with a jerk or anything so you should just tell him exactly how you feel. He will leave you alone then.

Should he ask again just tell him you don't date older guys. 15 years is quite a big difference. It gets you off the hook and yet it isn't just outright telling him you don't want to date him because he is unattractive to you. :)

if he keeps trying things juss tell him how you feel. dont lead him on er anything like that. itll get you in bad situations you dont want er need. that seems really annoying, but you're doing the right thing by telling him soon.
