-how long you've been at your school (does your school have a middle school too? grade school? if so than add them up like "i've been here for ten years so i know what needs to change" or something like that)
-add something that you're going to try to do that will be a crowd pleaser (like long lunch periods, maybe some changes in the dress code if you have one, leaving school grounds if you can't, ect. but don't PROMISE this say some thing along the lines of "I will try my best to make a few adjustments to make the day go by easier for all of us like talking with the teachers and princple about *you're choice here*"
-give background but don't make them fall asleep! tell them something that will show you have experience or are well suited for the job.
-and lastly tell them WHY you're running for rep. why you want to represent them, why you're perfect for this, and WHY THEY SHOULD VOTE FOR YOU.
sbloemeke answered Wednesday September 14 2005, 3:54 pm: You need to say why you would make a good president, what you would do, what makes you more qualified than the other candidates, and how you would help the school community and the Freshman Class. Just think for a bit on each topic, and say actual changes that may occur and appeal to your audience.
Yet, speeches aren't really important. Really good ones may boost you a bit, but most elections are just popularity contests. I wouldn't worry about it. :)

I don't know if you're allowed to, but you could say your speech in a rap. Oh and I have a slogan for you! "Put a tally next to Ali!" lol! Good luck, im sure you'll do fabulous!
