Generally I found that you have to take more responsibility for learning- your teahers won't be as ready to make sure you're pulling your weight- if you're naturally an A student but can coast at a B, they won't pull you up on it like they might at private school.
Also, (nice big stereotype coming up), the people are likely to be quite different to what you're used to. You and they will get away with more as a general rule and some of the kids you meet will be a lot more...worldly. You may well start off feeling like a bit of a clueless dork, but don't worry, it'll pass!
Basically just don't be too hard on yourself if you find it hard to adjust at first, because it may be a big change and you WILL get used to it.

One thing to remember about high school though is that you will be getting a lot more work than before. Just remember to manage your time well and keep healthy and happy.
And of course, ENJOY YOURSELF. That's the main thing. Learning should be fun.
