I have to go on a diet of strictly about 10 apples(or more) and 6 water bottles(and more) per day for 3 days. Do NOT ask why; but I'm a HUGE eater, so ive been having really really bad urges to eat other food. I mean i will stand there and stare at cooler ranch doritoes qiestioning my will power, i just want to eat good food so bad! Soo bad! What is the world can i do to resist these urges to eat good food??!
Thanks for anyone who tries to help(and fives).
FireFairy141 answered Friday September 2 2005, 7:53 pm: Lol, well, just to let you know, apples and water are MUCH better foods then doritos! But maybe you could try to distance yourself from these foods for those three days. If you have any in your kitchen ask your parents/guardians to hide them from you. And at school just pack your "lunch" and stay out of the lunch line. It will make things easier!
LaydeeAki answered Friday September 2 2005, 7:26 pm: Ask yourself " are you eating to live? or are you living to eat?" Don't look at food and be hungry for it just because it looks good! ask yourself if you're hungry or u like it because IT'S THERE. Water fills u up quickly. I say if your persevering to lose weight that much, try not to think about food. keep your self busy doing something else. If you know your going to be hungry later. Try other fruits such as plums, cherries bananas. [ LaydeeAki's advice column | Ask LaydeeAki A Question ]
chadilac answered Friday September 2 2005, 7:01 pm: well...3 das...that shouldnt be that bad...but then again, im on the "all u can eat" diet...but thats cuz i play football...try thinking of it like this-
why are you going on this diet? is it for school? atletics? trying 2 atract other people?
well...ithe of these easons have 2 go along with your own dedication. if it's for atletics (or something of that nature), try thinking that "well, if i dont stick to this, i wont make the cut." but if it's for your own personal image, and trying 2 impress some 1, "well, i want him to notice me 4 the wrong reason" hope this helped a lil [ chadilac's advice column | Ask chadilac A Question ]
K2204 answered Friday September 2 2005, 6:52 pm: honestly, keep reminding yourself why you are doing this. say, only ___ more days!
I had the same problem when i got myself off soda. I was drinking upto 4 each day. and now I never have soda. its hard, but, I just kept reminding myself why I was doing it and how much more healthier i would be without the soda. so tell yourself how much more healthier you will be with out the cooler ranch doritos.
pretend that the apple is a dorito? maybe? I dont know.
also, you can distract yourself. maybe give yourself a make-over. paint your nails, go for a walk or a run or play a sport, like swimming or soccer or basket ball. you could also watch tv, but dont watch something like the food or cooking chanel, unless it has tips for diets or diet food!
I really hope this helps! please let me know how my advice was!

Mercy_x_Me answered Friday September 2 2005, 6:50 pm: I'm not going to ask why you have to fast, just keep this in mind. The less you eat, the more hungry you will be. If you do lose control (and it can be very possible) your body will BINGE because it's starving. You will actually gain more wieght fasting than you will eating regularly or on a healthier diet. I do not suggest fasting like so, because it's unhealthy, and you can wind up doing the exact thing you were intending not to. And, as far as the junky foods, in order to resist you might want to ask your parents to "hide them" in your house if they have to have them, or at lunch in school, go to the library so your not near vending machines or whatever. Don't deprive yourself, it will only bring you harm!! If you need more help on a regular healthy diet, let me know! [ Mercy_x_Me's advice column | Ask Mercy_x_Me A Question ]
