next time you see your pretty kitty just kneel down and make a soft quiet noise like a kissy noise or just click your tounge... stick out your fingers let him sniff you and when he comes to go slowly SLOWLY start to pet him. do this every time you see him then eventually he'll get used to you

He is probably scared of your face so just leave him alone.

When my husband and I got our two new little kittens, one was friendly and active, and the other was scared to death. It's been a month since we got them, and now the little scared kitten is playful and outgoing.

How did we do it? You get down to the cat's level. DO NOT rush the cat. DO NOT force the cat to be held or pet if it does not want to. Just get down to his level, and get a string toy. Try playing with the cat for a while. If the cat plays with you, try dragging the string closer to your body(drawing the cat closer in play to you). Don't reach out and pet the cat during this though, you might scare him. Just let him get used to the fact that he can be near you without you trying to do anything to him. Eventually, you'll be able to slowly stick your hand out and have him come sniff at you. And eventually after that you'll be able to pet him when he chooses.

Another way to make friends with him is treats. At first, you might not want to make any noise when you give him a treat. But when he gets used to you giving him treats, eventually you'll want to make some kind of noise like shaking the treat jar, or whistling the same tune each time you are about to give him a treat. Eventually, your cat will recognize that every time you make this sound he'll get a treat. So over time, even if he's in a different room of the house, all you'd have to do is make that sound and he'll come running to you.

I hope that helps

Well the best way to breach a scared cat, is to get down to his/her level (wether it is the floor, chair, or where ever he or she is at), speek softly to him/her, and be paticent, most times it will take a lot of effort and time, but it is worth it.

I hope this helps/let me know if it does.

I had a kitten that was the same way, but for one reson or a nother, she started to like me.

try giving the cat space and dont rush it. Cat's will respect you once you respect them and all there need's.

some things you could do are: giving it treats, but wait for it to come to you.
just sit near it and do a casual thing like wach t.v or reading a book. but try not to do things that are fast moving, they get scared of that.
and try not to scare it.

these thing's should adventually get you to closer, but it will take time.

I really hope this helps you out! ;)

wow what did you do to him? did u step on his tail or something? or did u pour water on him?

dont be offended by the hiss. serisouly.

well not to be mean, he might think you are uguly try changing your style a bit (like some cats get afraid of a color or how tall or small tehy are)

dont come up to him by suprise, if he on the couch, sit on it and start petting him.

get these really yummy cookies, called greenies, for cats. they are known for dogs also they clean teeeth and they have a irresibaitsal(SP) taste that will have cats jumping off walls for those things!

and go up to him, and show the cookie. if he hiises. leave him.

if he doesnt hiss at you, give the cookie to him. because after a while, he will be like "hey, this person is really nice to give me cookies like that, i should be nicer!"

think like its a little brother, pet him.

hope i helped update me

♥ kiss me

Did you do anything to hurt or frighten him recently? He may be worried.

Try to bribe him with tidbits of food. Just let him eat them. After a while, try offering your hand to him. If he sniffs at it, or rubs on it, try petting him. If he backs away, leave him alone and try again later.

If this is unusual behavior, he may be hurt. watch him, to see if he acts oddly. If so, consider talking to a vet.
