I've never known anyone to discriminate against or favor a particular gender when it comes to these things. I'm shore it happens all of the time, but not that I've ever experienced personally. I know for a fact that Wendy's and Subway hire at 15. I'm shore McDonald's and Burger King would hire at 15 also, but if not, then they're definitely open to the idea of 16 year olds. Good for you for wanting to take on such a responsibility. I hope all goes well! =]

well it depends on what you would be doing at mcondalds or wherever..i remember when i was 14 i knew a couple people who were 14 also and worked as janitors or something. so although i know people who were hired at 14..when your 16 more options open up.
doesnt it seem that girls normally get the cashier jobs? especially at shop rite.this grocery store by me..i always see women doing cashier jobs and guys stockiing sheleves or something..although i have seen some women in the kitchen..it seems the guys are never cashiers if there is a girl around to do it.

you have to have your permit and a good report card to stay and get into your job. thats what my mom said

15 or 16 I think is the reccomended age. Girls probably do get hired more than boys, but they probably don't like to say. Girls seem to have more "People Skills" than guys do.
