growth

Question Posted Saturday August 27 2005, 12:12 am

i'm 14/f and i'm 5'2 in height. i started my period when i was 10 and i want to increase my height by doing whatever it is i can. i slouch and it's hard for me to do anything with my back straight. i've been slouching since i was pretty young so i think thats why i haven't been growing that much. what are some things i can do to help myself grow? i want to be atleast 5'4 or 5'5 before i stop growing altogether. thanks.

My mom always tells me, "Stand up straight or you'll end up like your brother." Try poking yourself in the back when you feel yourself try to slouch. When your sitting, put your whole back against the chair. Good luck! Hope I helped!

well you pretty much stop growing 2-3 years after your period..i know that's not what you wanted to hear but umm you could try drinking alot of milk...im freakin TALL nd it probably has something to do with all the milk i drank as a kid so..try that it might help a little! well good luck with that ♥

Make sure you eat well. It's important to get enough protein. Milk is good unless you're lactose intolerant. Avoid junk food, since they don't contain a lot of nutrients. Play basketball. It might help, the jumping is supposed to help you grow taller. Getting enough sleep is also important.

DRINK MORE MILK. It builds strong bones and teeth. =) and it will help you grow. And, you're only 14. You still have 2-4 more years of growing left. So be patient, you'll get there.
