wen you apply eyeliner on the bottom, are you supposed to put it like on the area right above your lower eyelashes or under them. cuz whenever i tried to get it under them it looks like the eyeliner isn't even near my eye. and for the top, how do you get it so that it doesnt look like there is a space between the eyeliner and your lashes??
I understand what you're asking, and to put it in a way that you would understand, you put it ABOVE them.
Have you considered this: are you comfortable with your tool? Do you use liquid or pencil? And are you happie with what you use, brand and type and the whole shebang?? If not, then I suggest experimenting until you find one that is more cozy and suitable to your needs.
When it comes to liquid eye liner or pencil eye liner, it's just a personal preference as to which we use. Certain things suit certain people. However, if you ask... chances are that most people will tell you that pencil is a better choice for them. It's a great start for a beginner who is just getting used to it. If you mess up, pencil is A WHOLE LOT easier to clean up and re-do than liquid is. Also, if you plan on carrying it around in a purse or pocket.. you risk the chance that the liquid may ruin [though I don't suggest carrying eye liner in your pocket]. If you DO mess it up, just take a tissue and slowly run it along the rim of your eye lid.. it'll come right up.
Now, the desired effect of eye liner is to create the illusion of darkness just above the lashline to enhance the look of the lashes. To apply it, gently hold your eye lid down, and start at the inner part of the lid [closest to your nose]. Then just simply draw a thin line smoothly and evenly along the top and bottom lid, getting as close to the lashes as possible. If it looks like there is a space between the liner and your lashes, then I guess you just have to thicken the line a bit. Or, if you'd rather have a very thin line, I guess you just have to try again. One last thing, make shore you draw the line all the way to the outside corner.
If you're still experiencing difficulties, don't get discourage. It will probably take some practice -- it took me a while at first too. Now, I have it down incredibly well!!

xfixatedlies answered Friday August 26 2005, 1:26 pm: Well you can do both. you can put it in the inside of your eye so its lining your eye, hence the name, "Eye LINER" and to get it to look like theres not a line go into the mirror real close and draw a line right at the lash line and it should look fine. just make sure you apply some eyeliner near the tear ducts on the upper lid so it's fully lined.
ThugGirl041790 answered Friday August 26 2005, 12:06 pm: Well some wear it under the eyelashes and some wear it above.. i wear it above.. so to make it not look like theres a space just make sure you put it on thick.. ♥ Dez [ ThugGirl041790's advice column | Ask ThugGirl041790 A Question ]
thinkpink03 answered Friday August 26 2005, 11:18 am: Well to answer your first question, eyeliner can go on the top and/or bottom it just depends on what you like. Some people even put alittle on the corner of their eyes. For your second question, just try to get it on the very bottom on the line that kinda divides the two. You can even hold down your eye to get it on. It just takes practice so before you go out to wear it, practice a little to perfect it!
h0tt_stuff answered Friday August 26 2005, 11:14 am: Put it right above your lower lash! Pull down your bottom lid and apply it right there =)
as for the top, just try to put it like right on you top eyelashes and it'll come out right!
