so im 14/f and i got contacts like 2 days ago. and i start high school on tuesday. im gonna be a freshman anywho. i look like a total GEEK with my glasses on and the problem is i cant get my contacts in. but when other people put them in for me im okay. i can poke my eye and stuff but idk why i cant put contacts in. can some one give me any good tips on how you can put in your contacts?
eternitysofbliss answered Saturday August 13 2005, 9:06 pm: Contacts suck. Ok what i do is like poke them to my eye and like look up,right, down, left and then blink. What happens when you put them in, do you blink them out? or can you just not get them in. Try gently pressing and holding against your eye. Azngangsta answered Saturday August 13 2005, 6:38 pm: You really shouldn't have gotten your contacts two days before school. You should've tried to get them earlier. That because your eyes needs to adjust to putting contacts in them. For the first week, it took me an hour just to put one in! But after two weeks, I was able to put them in easily. Be sure that before you put contacts in your eyes, you wash your hands with soap and warm water. Make sure your contacts are moist from the soulution, and stick the contacts in your eye. It may help if you put your right contact in with your right hand and your left contact in with your left hand. (That's how I do it) I also suggest, that when you don't have school, you practice putting in your contact lenses so you don't have to have anyone else put them in for you. Hope I helped! First i rinse my contacts in my hand and then use my other hand to pinch the contact and put it on my right index finger. I then put a few drips of solution into the contact and then take it towards my eye with my right middle finger pulling down my bottom eye lid. then i put it on my eye when its wide open. make sure to blink and move the contact around. HectorJr answered Saturday August 13 2005, 7:40 am: Hmm. Make sure that once you put the contact in, before you blink, you adjust it and slide it however you need to so that it's completley on your eye with no air pockets left. If you feel that the contact is like out of place a little bit, or hurts when you blink, look all the way down, then move your way clock wise, so then your left, up, then your right. Always check to see if they are inside out, because its not fun if they are. Seems like common sence, but a few people seem to forget they are allowed to use their other hand. If you need to use your free hand to pull your top and bottom eyelid open. Good luck. [ HectorJr's advice column | Ask HectorJr A Question ]

ncblondie answered Saturday August 13 2005, 3:09 am: It takes a bit to get used to contacts. I've found that putting some eye drops in my eyes before trying to put the contacts in helps since it avoids some of the irritation and seems to help make the contact stick better. Personally, I find it easier to look in a mirror when I put my contacts in. Since I'm right-handed I use my right pointer finger to put contacts in but you can reverse these directions if you're left-handed.
Try to stare straight ahead. Put the contact on the tip of your right pointer finger making sure the contact is a little moist. Gently pull your eyelid up with a finger on your left hand. Bring your right hand up to your eye and pull the skin below your eye down a bit with your right middle finger. Bring the contact straight in and try to place it on the colored part of your eye. Once you have it in, immediately shut your eye and gently massage the lid to get the contact in place. Once it feels like it's in place, slowly open your eyes. The contact should stay in place. If your eyes feel a little irritated, put another eye drop in then close your eyes for another few seconds. [ ncblondie's advice column | Ask ncblondie A Question ]
ADViCEx4xY0U answered Saturday August 13 2005, 3:05 am: If you're putting the contact in your right eye, put the contact on the finger of your right hand. Then take your left arm & put it above your head so that your fingers are hanging down near your eyelid. Take your fingers and slowly pull your eyelid up. Then with the hand that has the contact on it, pull down your bottom eyelid with your middle finger & put the contact in. Sorry if that was confusing! That's just how I do it & have been doing it for 2 years. If thats too confusing, let me know in my inbox or feedback & I'll try to explain it better! Hope I helped!

i take it out of the case, and put it on my pointer finger. make sure its pointing out and not tilted, and bring my finger to my eye, and look straight towards your finger and put it in your eye, and if it stays then blink and if it falls out then turn it around on your finger
hopeihelped answered Saturday August 13 2005, 1:10 am: You're starting high school and still use sentences such as ''I rate good''? Haha, okay.
Anyway.. I wear my contacts easily. It took me a REALLY long time to get it right, but I have it. I'll try my best to explain it.
Say you're putting in the contact on your right eye... Take your left hand (middle and pointer finger) and use it to hold your top eyelashes up. Use your right hand, pointer finger, to hold down your bottom eyelid. Use your right hand, middle finger, to place the contact directly onto the color part of your eye, not the white. Contacts are made to stick to the consistancy of the color/pupil part.
When you're trying to put in your contacts at first, spend only a half hour at a time. Otherwise your eyes will get irritated and sore. Impossible to poke your eyes after they're so sore.
