proactiv!!!!

Question Posted Thursday August 11 2005, 10:12 pm

hi ive been using proactive for about 3 weeks. at first my acne was just around my nose, eyebrowns, and mouth. now its still there and alot started to form on my cheeks and forehead! This really depreses and upsets me because i thought this would work and ive been putting up with this for a while and im really starting to get really low self esteem because i see people with perfect skin and i just want that so bad. i dont know what i should do, i also tried on the spot neautrogena acne treatment, but it made me acne really red. Should i keep using the proactiv and just wait a little longer and see if it clears my face up? I dont know what to do, i have no more money i spent it all on the proactiv so i dont realy no what to do.

<33 thanks for your helP!

hey babe.. yea umm maybe you should stop using proactiv if your starting to breakout more..your skin is probably really sensitivve to all the chemicals..so maybe you should for a little while with just water.. i use to have some on my forehead and i used water and now it's gone..but yea..if that doesn't work you should ask your mom/ dad to take you to the dermatoligists.. hope i helped a little! good luck

if youve been working with proactive for 3 weeks, you should stop using it. especially if it isnt working for you.
i use clearasil and it works really good, you should try it as well. the results are different on everybody, though.
tell your parents about how it is giving you low self esteem, and i am sure they'd give you money if you asked for it (and told them what you were getting).
you can get it in any local drugstore for under 10 dollars.
good luck!

When you start to use a new face medicine...it will take a while for your face to get used to it, meaning it may get worse..BUT it will get better after that.. I suggest you keep using it and soon your face will be acne free!:) Hope i helped!!

i dont have acne but i'd try clearasel. ive heard that it works and theres different kinds of products you can buy that arent too expensive. im surprised to hear that proactiv didnt work, but its probably juss because you have a different skin type. i'd google it er look at your local grocery stores, cvs, eckard, maybe in the mall, walmart, etc.

OH and also, i have a trick but idk if it works totally but it works for me since i never got acne. try not doing anything to your face. juss use water when you're in the shower. dont use any products and dont touch your face often. if that doesnt work, then go for something else.

good luck!
