gay?
this is weird but.. how can a person be gay? like.. is everyone born gay and they discover that they're gay later on in their lives, or do they somehow become gay from experiencing something? i'm 14/f, and i'm totally straight, i really dont want to be a lesbian or anything, but is there a chance that i might become one when i grow older?

Actually, homosexuality is supposedly a chemical imbalance in one's body. It is thought to be the absence of the horomones that make you attracted to the opposite sex, which is a necesity for reproduction. You can actually see homosexuality as the norm because it is natural for people to be attracted to the same sex, thats why girls and boys seperate themselves until they reach the age where the horomones kick in. This is usually the time when people discover they are homosexual, whether they reveal it or not is a different story. So, if you like the opposite sex, and you dont question yourself about it at all, then you are not gay. But most people who are homophobic are afraid to be gay and question themselves, but fear rejection and being made fun of, so they hide it and try to avoid anything that has anything to do with homosexuality. So i'm pretty sure you ahve nothing to worry about. And for the record, being gay or lesbian isnt wrong. Whoever thinks it is should get over it and accept people for who they are. It's just as normal as people ahving different skin colors, so why treat it differently?

Of course there is a chance, probably not a great one though.. I think homosexuality is more of a choice, most likely due to curiosity. It could also be due to the way a person is raised. For example, there would most likely be a lot of curiosity in an 8 year old boy if he say two guys making out. He'd see something wouldn't be normal, and of course when anyone see's something thats not normal they get curious. So don't worry about it happening to you, and I don't exactly blame anyone that is either. Hope that helped.

if you dont want to be a lesbian, then there is no chance that you might become one when you grow older. but you never know, you might change your mind. but chances of that happening is really rare.

I think some people cant help what they are attracted too.. i think people are born that way and alot of the time when females or males realize they are gay they usually try to fix it and want to become normal and like the right sex.. i highly doubt you'll turn gay later in life if you arent.. ♥ Dez

i think gay is someone's opinion. not every1 is born gay but i think most are. im straight so idk how that works exactly. i dont think theres a chance you can turn gay though. you never know i guess.

i think your born gay and you cant help who you are. if your around a gay enviroment earlier in life youll find out then but you may never really find out. my aunt thought she was straight till after highschool then she was around gay ppl and found out she was gay

Depends because this guy just has been to advicenators and he was gay. When he started hgih shcool he made out with a guy and he loved looking at guys in the boys locker room. So, when you grow you'll probablly get used to looking at girls. You'll expierence it sometime in your life. You're pretty young so you don't have to worry much.
