Supermanlover45 answered Tuesday August 9 2005, 4:51 pm: There's condoms that girls can wear but it goes in you I don't know exactly what it's called but yeah. But most condoms other than those kinds are made for guys they put it on their penis's, and there is really no certain age to buy them but I'd highly suggest you be atleast 12 or atleast in your teens. Condoms help you from getting STD's and help prevent pregnancy's. Hope I helped. (Yeah I know you already got all your answers but I just like helping people.)

SoNotLegal answered Monday August 8 2005, 10:43 pm: First of all, I hope you're not thinking of having sex. If you don't know what a condom is, then you don't need to be having sex.
Now. A condom is a latex device used to keep people safe from sexually transmitted diseases. It's also a preventive method against pregnancy. It goes on a man's penis before sex, so as to act as a sort of... barrier.
As far as I know, you don't have to be a certain age to buy them -- but then again, if you don't know what they are, then why are you asking in the first place?

ElmosBrightStar answered Monday August 8 2005, 6:11 pm: Oh wow. A condom is for a guy's dick for when you have sex. A condom is a (usually) latex covor that fits over a guy's dick. Girls don't wear them. You have to look old enough to buy them, but there isn't a certain age limit, as long as you don't look 12, but you will get funny looks. xXxpinky615xXx answered Monday August 8 2005, 9:34 am: A condom is a flexible sheath, usually made of thin rubber or latex, designed to cover the penis during sexual intercourse for contraceptive purposes or as a means of preventing sexually transmitted diseases. And girls don't wear them.. Unless a girl has a penis. Which I highly doubt. And no, there isn't a certain age you can buy them. You should at LEAST be a teenager though. 13 and up. Informant_Girl answered Monday August 8 2005, 3:01 am: A condom is a specific type of birth control in the barrier method category. It looks like an elongated balloon and may or may not be lubricated. It is very thin and fits snugly over the male genitalia (the penis). It prevents sperm from entering the female partner and is the only form of birth control that protects against certain types of sexually transmitted diseases (only with perfect use and even then, not 100%). Girls do not wear condoms, although they have not introduced the female condom that is used much like a diaphragm and is inserted like a tampon. There is no certain age to buy them; use them when you are sexually active to prevent pregnancy and STDS, but remember, they are never 100% effective, even if you use them perfectly. Do not use lubricants on them without consulting a professional; some lubricants punch holes in the latex, making them useless. A combination of condoms and birth controls pills is the best bet to prevent pregnancy, but not STDS. Abstinence (not having sex) is the only perfect solution to preventing pregnancy and STDs. karenR answered Monday August 8 2005, 2:17 am: condoms are used for birth control and protect you from STDs.
Boys wear a condom on their penis. Girls do not wear them. However if they think they may get in a situation where it might be needed, they can carry one around for protection. NEVER have sex without protection. some STDs are very dangerous and some life threatening (AIDS).
I honestly don't know if there is a certain age you have to be to buy them. I have never seen a sign posted so I will assume there isn't. A quick call to your local health department could tell you for certain. [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
