i want to know!
i havent gotton my period yet and i have a ?. when i get it for the fist time will i know, or will i not know till i go to the b/r? i dont want it to like leak through or nething, that is what i m most afried of! just tell me if i will know or not! thxs!

ok well when you get ur period for the first time its only gona be a little bit and when you go to the bathroom it doesnt look like blood dont want to get really into it but ull see

you wont just know you will have to go to the bathroom to figure it out. It probably wont leak thru. Just make sure not to wear white pants or shorts or anything like and just periodically and you'll be safe trust me

my first time i didnt know but my stomach hurt so bad that day i had to go home and then i realized it was just cramps-- i havent had cramps that bad since but now at least i have a little warning-- you will probably get cramps or have a little discharge days prior to, plus its usually fairly light and wont leak though- all three of those things applied to me so i had no prob cause i was wearing "light days" for the discharge- dont worry youll be fine!

i got mine like a year or two ago and like before i had it i got really sick..well i just vomited and stuff..my mom said that when girls first start theyre period they usually get sick...so if you get sick and you start getting agrivated easily..then youll know its coming...good luck!..and dont worry bout it!

yea you will notice it dont be afraid just have a tampon or pad with you in ur purse or something i recommend a pad if its your first time hope it helped xoxo Dzana

i just got mine a little while ago...well you'll probably be more irritable and moody and you'll either hav brownish purple colored stuff or red stuff in your underwear (blood) umm you'll probablyt find out wen your goin to the bathroom....hope i helped bii!

the first time i got it i didnt know.. neither did my friends. it depends on how the flow is. if its heavy you should notice it. chances are it will be really light and you'll be able to go to the bathroom and discover it before anyone else does. dont worry just always carry around a pad and an extra pair of panties = p

Well I first got mine right before going to see a movie. I didn't realize I had it until I went to the bathroom. But For a few months before getting my period I wore pantyliners because of all the discharge (talk about gross haha) and so I went to the bathroom and when I went to throw away the pantyliner I noticed blood on it. I was excited because all my friends already had theirs and I still hadn't haha. But anyway, I didn't realize it. I was outside playing softball with some neighbors when my friend called my cell phone and asked if I wanted to see a movie, so I went inside, asked my parents, went to the bathroom and noticed the blood.
But when I'm on my period I can't really tell if I'm bleeding, I don't know why, but you most likely won't be able to feel it unless it's like dripping down your leg or something (I don't even think that happens, or if it does, rarely)
Anyway, your best bet is to buy panty liners, that will help with any discharge getting in your panties, and when you first start your period it'll soak up the blood. I didn't get any blood in my panties, only on the pantyliner.
Anyway, you probably won't feel it, so you would definitley be better of with the pantyliners.

theres no way you could find out until you go to the bathroom and wipe unless if you see the blood in your panties but you won't really be able to feel it.. it might feel a little wet down there but its hard to notice.. i doubt that you'll have a leak because usually the first time you odn't have a real heavy flow.. hope i helped.. if you need anyting further just let me no :-)

you should notice before it gets to leak through, it*s a gross wet feeling. Don*t worry bout it too mcuh just make sure you keep like a pad or tampon in ur backpack incase it starts at school!! hope i helped! xoxo, chelsea
