OK so my hair is wayyyyyyyy thick and frizzy, like totally thick. If i get it cut to about shoulder length, and get 2 layers taken off, will i see a big difference? Will other people? I alwayssss wear my hair up, so can yu still see the difference? and will it be easier to straighten, cus with the way my hair is now, it takes about 2 hours. Lots of questions, i know, but i'll rate high for any help<3

DONT CUT YOUR HAIR OFF!! when you do that it frizzes out like bozo the clown and it looks BAD!! i did it when i was younger and i looked bad .it was so crazy! thick and frizzy.my hair is now longer and its taming down as i get older maybe yours will to. I use Pumaid on my hair that you can get at like Fantastic Sams. It makes it slick and pretty! Maybe you should try it just dont cut you hair off. maybe you can trim the layers but dont cut it to short. good luck! [ KaebabeeXO's advice column | Ask KaebabeeXO A Question ]

Other people will probably notice but u will notice it the most! It will be easier to straighten becuase its shorter but it may still take a lil time. oPreppyo answered Monday August 8 2005, 9:31 pm: Cutting your hair will definantly make it easier to straighten. I have wavy hair, with corkscrew curls and sometimes it frizzes at the top in the summer time. There is a wonderful product that completly softens and flattens your hair. It's called Frizz-Ease, and it's by John Frieda. If you want more information, then this website is helpful: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
Taking off a couple layers helps, too... and I'm positive other people will see... as long as they're not completly oblivious.

gessyka answered Monday August 8 2005, 1:03 am: OMG THATS THE SAME WITH MINE. But yeah.. what I did was go to the hair dresser, and I got my hair cut in layers.
She washed it, cut it, blow dried it and straightened it for me.
Then I bought a ceramic straightner which was the same one she used on me.(about 50 $)
And now its looking a lot better when I use it with my hair cut and all that. She also put spray in it and stuff and I asked her what it was and it was available to buy there at the salon. She also told me what shampoo and conditioner I should use for dry hair (Halo) it works really well.
It will still take a while to straighten your hair but after you get used to it and use it enough your hair will eventually start looking a bit straighter naturally. (thats if you use a ceramic)...
but yeah.. find some good shampoo for dry or frizzy hair. Because thats how i am too. I'd always wear my hair up but now I see a good change. It wont be an overnight thing but if you do this for a little while I'm sure it will help.
I hope this wasnt confusing I was babbling a lot. =D hope I helped <3

p.s. dont get it cut really short, the longer it is the more it will weigh down and look thinner. The shorter it is the more it will poof. [ gessyka's advice column | Ask gessyka A Question ]
bAhAmAmA0250 answered Monday August 8 2005, 12:17 am: the shorter the frizzier but you can ask your hairdresser to see if you can get stuff for that and you can ask to get your hair thinned. Blow dry your hair and straighten it to that'll help [ bAhAmAmA0250's advice column | Ask bAhAmAmA0250 A Question ]

runz_with_scizzorz answered Sunday August 7 2005, 10:24 pm: You won't believe this but my hair is the same way. My mom is always like "You have beautiful, thick hair and you should appreciate it." BLAH!! lol. Anyways, It went all the way to my back (cuz my mom wanted me to grow it out). I just got it cut up to my sholders not too long ago because I thought it was too thick. But it doesn't look any better. I don't know about your hair but if I were you, I would leave it alone UNLESS you are READY for a BIG change (if you know what I mean). I like it but its WAY different and doesn't look like I expected it would.
