Best friend gone
ON the last day of school my best friend told me she would be going to private school next year. I really had a tough time making friends the whole year and she really was one of the only friends i had. She's away at sleepaway camp for 8 weeks and I can't see her!!! She didn't respond to any of my letters either. I'm scared to go through a year of school without her. I'll be so lonely!!! What can I do to make the best of the school year???

try to focus on making new friends...im not saying that you should forget your friend, but try to make new ones too. like i said in another comment...just randomly strike up a conversation- be like "ugh that science test was a tough one" or " are you going to the dance this weekend- im really excited..." ect...trust me- you will make friends- but dont try too hard. a lot of times other people are looking for friends too...and also its easier to make friends when its not a big group cuz the you can conncect with the perosn more...

having more then one friend is the way to go.i have about 15 close friends and i made them by getting active playing sports singing in chior joining clubs having neighborhood parties. or you could just make a hobb or pay close attention on your school work so ur mind is off her and your getting good grades!!!!:)

Just try joining clubs and sports and try to be friends with people that look like they are in the same situation you are and dont have other friends like new people

Hey you can deal without your friend being there! You can make friends on your own. What you make of your school year is how good it will be, so go out and make some new friends! Keep the one of you have, because it sounds like you have an awesome friendship. But try and make new friends at school, be polite, talkative, nice, courtious, and just try and talk to people. Make a better year for yourself!

you could join a club like art club or chess club. there are clubs for everything that you clould make new friends at. when school starts, ask a teacher for a club listing and s/he will get one for you. it will be an easy way to make new friends and also its before or after school, if that is a problem, you could also join a sport or some other sports. HoPe I hElPeD!

to make the best of the school year..
-make a lot of new friends..its not that hard just ask them if they want to study sometime at the library..then if you get along well while studying ask if they want to see a movie this weekend
-join a sport..sports are great ways to have fun and meet new people
-join a club
