Hey there, I am a 20 year old MALE with a serious hair dilema! My hair is naturally thick, dry, curly and quite rebellious aka the worst hair you can have for styling lol!
A few monthes ago I got my hair chemically straigtened, and it did wonders for me combined with my ghd straighteners, after SO long I have GREAT looking hair! I wash it everyday with Aussie shampoo and conditioner, and straighten it everyday also using my ghd's and tre semme heat protect.
But after a while, no matter what I do, the ends look frizzy and unhealthy and its REALLY starting to annoy me! I get them cut off every four weeks, but they keep coming back!
I refuse to stop straighteneing it everyday, because I have so much more confidence with my new hair now that its straight and styled, I have done everything I can, even the heat protect spray!

whattheHELLO1514 answered Tuesday August 2 2005, 2:46 am: this was my problem, until i switched to pureology shampoo and conditioner. pureology protects your hair and keeps hair dye, hair chemicals in your hair longer than other shampoos. and it repairs the hair as well. anne_givings answered Monday August 1 2005, 9:18 pm: okay you have hair like me and my dad. my dad just leaves his curly and he got my mom that way he just kept it short. HOWEVER if you want to keep straightening it then you need to keep getting it chemically done. i have dry frizzy curly long hair and i got it chemically straightened. its been six months and i need to do it again because its GROWN OUT TWO INCHES and chances are, yours has two. you oughtta go get it chemically straightened again adn if thats too expensive and ya have to keep straightening then do two things
1) use moisturizure (or however its spelled) two great products are paul mitchel super skinny serum and tusk sensories smoother
2) i hope ya dont straighten it when its wet cause that is sooooooooo bad for your hair
3) i know you probably dont wanna hear this from a fourteen year old, but no girl likes a guy who obsesses about his hair and theyd rather see you as you not how you make yourself based on hair- thats just not cool
hope i helped

ncblondie answered Monday August 1 2005, 9:18 pm: It sounds like the chemical straightening may have damaged your hair. Try using a shampoo made specifically for processed hair. The bottle usually says for colored or permed hair. I would also suggest getting a nourishing conditioner. It will help replenish the vitamins and minerals in your hair. You might also consider getting a deep conditioning treatment or a hot oil treatment and using it once a week until your hair gets back to it's normal health.
