no12trust answered Monday August 1 2005, 10:11 am: I think if he hits you it's a good sign that maybe you should move in with your mom if it's possible. I think the best way to do this is tell your mom and maybe she can take you and your father to court with it.
I really do hope that this works out for the best!! [ no12trust's advice column | Ask no12trust A Question ]
ncblondie answered Monday August 1 2005, 2:11 am: I would suggest asking your mom to petition the court for custody of you. At 14, the court should take into consideration of where you want to stay. If they ask, make sure to tell them that you want to be with your mom and explain to them why. The fact that your dad is abusive should encourage them to let you stay with your mom.
