 My boyfriend's birthday is coming up on August 17th. I want to do something really special for him. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Um I really can only come up with one idea for this one. You could cook him a nice dinner. Most guys I know would like that. Just try to make it romantic and all about him. Well good luck hun, hope everything turns out ok.

Ooh, birthday girl-in-law,

I don't know you, your town, or your boyfriend, but here's what I would do. Near where I live is a huge dam. (It's actually a water treatment center, so romantic huh?) but anyways the lake that feeds it is BEAUTIFUL. We have the most amazing sunsets. I would take him there, close his eyes and take him to the top of this 75ft structure and hold his hand while we watched the orange sun set in a red streaked sky over a still lake. Then we would go out to dinner and probably get a movie like The Notebook or something.

You could try a romantic picnic for 2 or a candlelit dinner. A memory book of your time together with little souvenirs is also good.
