Ok. Me and my friends are working on a movie and we only have 3 people including me. We each have a lot of parts. Should we get more people? O yah? Do you think making a movie and sending it to Hollywood would make people like have a career in acting like the famous people? Can you give me some tips?
prettyx10 answered Wednesday January 4 2006, 6:46 am: I honestly don't think that movie will do well unless tha dialogue is funny. Try sending it to film festivals. Hold auditions and cast more pple, try putting up flyers or an ad in the newspaper.. go to castingcalls.com and post tha details of tha project, aspiring actresses in your area will probably do it just for tha extra experience.. since I assume that this is going to be an indie flick make sure you say that tha rate is none-low. Seriously tho find some more pple<3
Oh by tha way.. about tha famous/career thing.. wont happen just by making an independent film.. you need a publicist for tha movie.. sorry :( [ prettyx10's advice column | Ask prettyx10 A Question ]

It's always useful, if you're looking for open casting calls, to do a search on the net. [ Helpful's advice column | Ask Helpful A Question ]
vickiooos answered Wednesday July 27 2005, 12:38 pm: the answers you want depends on alot of stuff. age, experience, money, etc. if you guys are actually studying filmography and such then yeah, maybe your movie could go far. just don't send it to hollywood, try it out in film festivals and 48 hour conventions and stuff. that's what my brother (22) is doing. he's making movies right now and sending them in for judging.
it's not unheard of, having a movie with only 3 people, but i suggest you put up audition flyers or notices and let people audition. if you want really good ones you can even find some that are professional, but they'll require money. (kinda like mercenaries) making a movie is really tough, i'm planning on making one in about 2 years when i have the correct supplies and time and money and atleast a little knowledge in camera technique.
ayways, if you're thinking about going that serious into the movie then follow my advice. but if this is just a play around -- something to look back in 20 years and laugh thing, then don't take it so seriously and just do what you were planning on doing. 1Cutiewitabooti answered Monday July 25 2005, 2:28 pm: making a movie is hard. how the heck do you only have 3 people. Most movies have over 500 people. if you just making a little flick that's like 10 mminutes then okay. But movies are 1hr and 30m and more. you cant have 3 people not unless your going to be playing a lot a lot a lot of people. Which isn't really good. because then you'll have to wear a lot of makeup and you'
ll have to have different personalities which makes it confusing. and people will know that it's the same person playing like 200 people. What's the movie about. It has to be interesting. mostly scary movies are good. horror movies have been coming out all year. What i suggest you do is not make a movie and just try out to be in a movie. go to auditions and practice acting so then you can be in a movie will either be in the movie theatres or on dvd. and you'll wind up making money. So that's what i suggest you do it will cost you basicly nothing and the making of a movie will cost something. So good luck and have fun. need any more advice or have any more info about making a movie that you want to add in then go ahead. [ 1Cutiewitabooti's advice column | Ask 1Cutiewitabooti A Question ]
Razhie answered Monday July 25 2005, 11:03 am: 1.) No don't get more people, it will only complicate things and give you more egos and opinions to fight with. Stick to your many roles and have fun.
2.) No. Agents and producers in hollywood are already flooded with silly audition tapes and the such, they burn them to heat thier million dollar homes. Much more productive would be to send your movie into a teen film festival or competition and get some awards under your belt.
Find a your state film board or maybe a tv station or something that is running a film contest, you have a much better chance of being noticed that way. [ Razhie's advice column | Ask Razhie A Question ]
