How Do You Groom Down There?

Question Posted Thursday July 21 2005, 12:00 am

Okay, I don't know what to do. Should I shave my bikini area? I've shaved it before and it was really itchy and painful. I don't know whether it's normal to be shaved or not. Is it?

Hey, it's YOUR body, therefoRe YOUR decision. However, if you DO decide you want to shave, I've taken it upon myself to make a list of tips for you:
- NEVER dry shave.
- Find a shaving cream/gel you're happie with.
- If you can't go out and purchase shaving gel, use a bar of soap, and lather your legs up REALLY good, but keep it moist and lathery [?].. don't let it sort of dry out.
- If you CAN purchase shaving gel, I recommend 'Skintimate's Shaving Gel' oR 'Barbasol Shaving Cream".
- Always, always, always shave upwards, period.
- Use a good razor, and change it often, if not EVERY time.
- Yes, disposable razors are fine.
- After shaving, apply lotion to help moisturize, and help prevent razor burn.
- DO NOT shave daily!! Try every other two days or so...

Goodluck on your mission..

Yes it is normal to be shaved. Alot of girls shave in that area. I'd suggest waxing because it's not as itchy or painful. If you just want to stick to shaving it then use a really good shaver and shaving cream or gel.

Of course it's normal.
It's going to be painful and itchy the first time you shave it because of razer burn. When there are little stubs, don't shave it anymore because it will burn it and cut it. It hurts bad! It is normal for girls to shave sown there. I shave down there. Don't worry. Shave it again and it won't hurt bad at all.:-)

Best of luck!

Hope I helped!

You can shave it or you can't, either way is normal. Of course, it's more natural not to, but some people like it hairless. I don't do it, because I'm a total klutz and I'd probably cut myself really bad and bleed to death. But if you think you can handle it, then by all means do it.

Yes, it's normal to be shaved down there. 90% of women do shave down there. And yes, it is itchy and painful. But sweetie, beauty is pain. Eyebrow waxes, bikini waxes, squeezing into jeans, tweezing eyebrows. Yeah, being a chick is hard sometimes. But if you shave it every other day and keep moisturizer there, it shouldn't be as bad and you'll get used to it. Use a NEW razor when you do it next time!

Yes shave it. I would rather suggest waxing so it doesnt itch and hurt. But if not wax then yes shave and make sure you use a good razor and shaving cream. ♥`
