Well I can't help you, but you can help yourself! Maybe singing in front of like a close friend who you know you can trust and they won't make fun of you will help you over some your fear!

this is the same situation as me ...practice infront of people you like your parents and once you get over the fear of them go to your friends and build up your self confidence ...when your up on stadge think that: people want to hear the best you so give it to them then after you do your best you will get the best reward: being noticed RATE ME ***GOODLUCK***

Hey I got the same thing too (well minus the great voice but I won't comment on that :P). I had to overcome this fear for a school musical that I took part in (which I did sing)and what I found worked best is to just go with everything that happens and to pretend (in your mind) that you are just at practice and the seats are practically empty. If you can't do that then just keep your mind COMPLETELY focused on what your doing and to try and do your best, despite your fear. After you get over it for one show, it just becomes something like second nature, and your fear goes away with each performance you do. Hope this bit of advice helps and hope you get over this and let people hear your voice!

A little trick that helps shy singers is to look out over the people listening to you or aim your gaze beside their head. That way it appears that you're looking at them, while avoiding eye contact. That always helped me when I was singing in public. Another good trick is to close your eyes a little. It helps you focus on your music instead of the people listening while appearing to others like you're simply into the music. Hope this helps. Good luck.

People always told me to focus on something. If there's a painting or something in the back, or a family member, or friend, just someone you're close to, focus on them. I promise you'll be fine. No worries.
