my dad wont let me get a cell phone because he think i will talk non stop and waste minutes. How do i convince him i wont do that and keep my tlaking time to a minimum? i rate high!
blondebaby1016 answered Thursday July 14 2005, 10:42 pm: Well, start off by telling him that It would be a convienence to him, because he can reach you at all times. This might sound weird, but tell him that most contracts have where you can cancel a contract after the first month if youre not happy with it, and itll be no problem, tell him to just go ahead, trust you enought to put you on a contract or a month or so, and if he thinks youre using too many minutes, just take the phone away, an yeah, if thats confusing nevermind, but otherwise, just ensure him you will be careful with minutes, remind him youre responisble, etc. [ blondebaby1016's advice column | Ask blondebaby1016 A Question ]
i think that you should sit down and talk to your dad. say dad im a teenager and i think i deserve a cell phone. and say dad im responsable and dad im a girl of course ill talk a lot. and say dad what if im out at the movies or something and you and mom need to reach me because its really important you guys can call me on my cell phone. its a good idea. and i want one really badly. and if that dosent work and he still thinks you will talk a lot say dad if i go over my minutes ill pay for it myself. that should work.
