should i tell him?

Question Posted Thursday July 14 2005, 8:03 pm

i really like this guy that i met, and i think he really likes me too. here are some things he does when he sees me:
1. his face brightens up
2. he leans in to conversation
3. he finds excuses to talk to me even if it means leaving the group of people he's with
4. he lightly brushes me on the arm
5. he smiles so big
6. he makes me feel extremely comfortable
7. he makes excessive eye contact
8. he glances over towards me all the time
9. when he hugged me he did a weird scratchy thing on my back (i don't know if this is good or bad.. heee hee)

anyway, i know where he is going to be soon, and i decided not to go. because i'm a naturally shy person, i haven't excessively flirted. i'm not sure i've even flirted that much at all. when he looks at me i make an effort not to look at him because i feel it will be awkward. i feel like i'm unintentionally acting cold towards him, not dropping enough signals. when my friends see him, should i tell them to tell him that they think i like him just to give him the okay to initiate something else? or would that scare him shitless and make him pity me or something? should i just leave it and not let him know unless it's through body language? what are the effects of having friends tell a person you like them? does it make them feel like they have power over you?

help! i'll rate really high.

Girl, I used to go through the sameee thing all the time. I would always act extremely shy in front of guys that i liked. But it was because I was afraid they wouldnt like me back. But now i flirt with anyone I like, and if they flirt back Ill tell them. You can't be afraid because its not your fault people dont understand emotions, and if your taking your time to get help with this boy then that means you are a caring person and any guy would be lucky to have you. Just tell him. If he says no, think of it as his loss. Don't worry about what others think. Stay confident. And trust me, don't tell your friends. That is a turn off. Show an initiative to tell him your self. It will bring out more personality on your part. And plus, you cant be sure who your real friends are. They might mess it up. Tell him your self, and do it when the time is right.

Good luck!!
Sincerely,
Abby <3

hey!

i think that you should tell the guy yourself. because if you do that will show him a sign that you like him. which would be good. i think that you shouldnt have your friends do it because if they do they might say something to embarrass you. if you tell him that you like him yourself he should respect it because you are opening up to him and he should like that.

good luck
