How do you know if you have a cavity? I've never had cavaties before, so I'm not sure right now. I have this black spot on my back molar (Yes, I brush my teeth lol). It doesn't hurt or ache or anything, but I'm thinking it might be a cavity?
Additional info, added Friday July 15 2005, 1:57 am: I can't tell if it's a hole or not because it's on the top side of my bottom molar where your teeth meet when you bite down. Brushing hasn't helped, it's been there for quite a while now.
Also, can anyone explain what the procedure is if you do have a cavity? Will it be painful? I'm assuming it's not that bad since I've known little kids to have cavities, lol. Thanks a lot!. It justs get bigger if you don't brush your teeth properly. The procedure? Well how they cover it isn't painful because they numb the side you have a cavity on with a needle which you cant feel at all well you can but it doesnt feel like a needle but anyway they numb it and they put the coat on your tooth which doesnt hurt but what sucks is you have to wait atleast 3-4 hours before you eat anything!
Hope I helped! [ twistedteen25's advice column | Ask twistedteen25 A Question ]

It'd be best to go to the dentist, but I haven't.. so I won't even begin to lecture :) [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]
