zoey 101 obsessed

my little sister is OBSESSED with jamie lynn spears and her show zoey 101. she's watched every episode like 10 times and she even wears clothes almost EXACTLY the same as the ones zoey wears! she searches for them everywhere! and she always wants to role play them..and i get dragged into it! she wants to be zoey for halloween, but guess what..she's zoey EVERYDAY! this is driving me insane, my parents think it's cute. i thought it was at first, but now it's getting out of hand! please help, her room is covered with zoey 101 & jamie lynn spears. her aim is zoey101lover something and jamie lynn spears is her idol! she's so totally obsessed..it's becoming unbearable! HELP!

uhm.....well hate to break it to you but you cant really do anything to change her rolemodel because uhh.....do u rule her, no. does she obsess over you, no. so u have to just learn to deal and hope that she just gets over it ok? ok...good

Well why not talking her into somthing new like sports,music or have her bff come to your house more offten or just get her to do somthing more fun and she wont think about Zoey 101.Try it.

It is just a phase. She'll get over it. ^^
In the meanwhile, try to slowly wean her off of it. Find other things you think she'd like. Take her to the mall, and suggest non-Zoey clothes that you think she'd look cute in. Basically, have tons of non-zoey fun. If she brings it up, just carefully, and kindly change the subject.

I can see why this might be a little annoying but does it really affect you? If she wants to be like Jamie Lynn/Zoey, let her. Eventually she'll grow out of it. And it's a lot better than her trying to be just like you because trust me, that's WAY more annoying.

Tell her that "Idols are for people who don't believe enough in their own dreams, so they chase after someone elses". I promise she will eventually get over it. Just stay clear from her for the time being.

well i mean when your younger you want someone to look up to. Apparently Jamie is hers. I remember when i was obsessed with MKA but i mean once you get older you kinda slip out of it. So let her go one for a while more. Im sure she'll grow bored.

its probably just a phase. shes looking for some sort of idol but as she gets older she'll grow out of it. just let her handle it in her way and ignore it until shes over it. i know this probably isnt what you want to hear but theres not much else you can do
