Napalm350z answered Monday July 4 2005, 12:27 am: Ouch. If that library is all WMA, then you'll have to convert them to MP3 before you can transfer them to ITunes. Simply find your "My Music" folder, open itunes and then select all of the songs or song folders and drag them over to itunes. [ Napalm350z's advice column | Ask Napalm350z A Question ]
Moop answered Sunday July 3 2005, 8:49 pm: a lot of iPod transfers depend on the file used to import the songs to begin with. if they're .wmas, windows media applications, they WILL NOT transfer to iTunes. iPods are made by Apple which is not compatible with windows programs (most of the time). if your files are not wmas, they are all stored in some folder on your computer. open this file using iTunes and then they'll be in the library. however, if you used windows media player to rip your CDs, they won't be able to be put onto the iPod so you'll have to re-import the original CDs using iTunes. it's quick and the files are smaller and have a better sound quality. but if you still don't want to do this, then I suggest not using an iPod.
