Sunburn!

Question Posted Thursday June 30 2005, 10:23 pm

I have really long hair and I like to keep a defined hairline. When I was at a water park recently, I got a really bad sunburn on my head where it's parted. Any ideas on what I can do to make it feel better at least? I mean, how much can you do for a sunburn on your head?

Ohh, that's happened to me before... To avoid it in the future, pull your hair back so it covers your part, wear a hat (visors won't do anything sadly) or (I wouldn't do this but... hey, whatever) use the spray sunscreen stuff on your part... How to make it feel better? Aloe vera helps burns... But yeah, it'll go away soon, but make sure you did one of the above things if you don't want it again.

My friend has it right now so haha I can definetly help you with this one.. um.. there's you can do really but wait for it to go away.. and whenever you go out, I'd suggest wearing a hat or something so you don't get it even more sunburnt. And also, don't scratch you're head in public, cause then it will peel.. haha.. and I know you don't want that!! Hope I helped!!

MELii

Im not sure, I don't think theres much you can do for sunburn on your head. If you can find some sort of aloe cream, it will soothe the skin, but it will still eventually peel. It might make your hair look greasy till you wash it again, but it should help the pain.

you could try putting aloe lotion on it. i'm not sure how much it would work but it will definatly stop the burning and all that.

pure aloe and moisturize it
definately moisturize it before bed every night and if you are going to wear your hair in a ponytail and the greasiness wont be obvious put moisturizer on that too!!!

Ouch! I did the same thing when I was out in the sun too long. Since my hair was down, my part got sunburnt, it really hurts, doesn't it? Just keep your hair down and part it how you usually do. When you shampoo your hair, don't go rough. Also, you can put some cream on your part. Just use cream that you would usually put on your skin for sunburns. It'll feel better in a few days!
