No i wouldnt do that. That sounds like youre too immature to not ask him yourself. Just call him and say "hey..umm friday night would like to go to a movie with me" Its not thtat hard. BUt i do understand how you feel..im shy too. But just be confident.

3 way calling with a friend would probably help, but i think if you call him your self youd probably get to talk to him more private then with your friend interupting. But i guess it depends on the person.
