Question Posted Tuesday June 14 2005, 11:46 pm

ok well, i'm 5'5 and 103. i feel skinny, but at the same time i want to lose weight! it's very frustrating. my friends tell me i'm so skinny and stuff, but i really just want to lose weigh- not much, just like a few pounds. another concern is being anorexic. i'm not and i definitely dont want to be! basically iam wondering if i should try to lose weight.. like would it be unhealthy? and how should i go about doing this? thank you

you are in the 17th percentile-same as me!- and you don't need to lose any weight. If you want to limit it too about 3 pounds. Sometimes I want to lose weight too but then the next day I feel skinny again. It's weird it all depends on what you eat and how much you are exercising.

You shouldnt lose anymore weight, it wouldnt be healthy. If you want to feel better about how you look, just eat very healthy and exercise a little bit more than you do now(that wont necessarily make you lose weight). Looking like a skeleton isnt pretty. But by looking at your weight and height im sure your body looks awesome how it is.

Honestly, you are DO NOT need to lose weight. It would be unhealthy if you lost weight, and it might become obsessive and you could become anorexic. You view yourself differently than others, which is why you may not feel you're skinny. Feel free to IM me on lostxinside87 if you need anything!

Hope I helped!

You're actually underweight for your height.

Maybe you should gain weight instead of loosing weight.

I'm about 5'2 and 95 pounds, and everyone tells me I'm really skinny, so I basically have the same problem as you. I think your weight is probably a healthy weight, and you shouldn't try to gain OR lose weight. What you should do is excercise alot. Many people think exercise only helps people LOSE weight, but that's not necessarily true. What exercise does is moderate your metabolism.. so if you're overweight, it helps you lose weight. And if you're underweight, it helps you get a bigger appetite so you can gain weight. So just exercise, and eat a normal amount of food, and your body will take a healthy weight. Hope this helped!

I'm 15 and I weigh 96 pounds, also not anorexic (thyroid). But I'm trying to gain weight, not lose it haha. Instead of concentrating on losing weight, maybe you should just focus on eating healthier and exercising... I'm pretty sure that's not unhealthy. Just don't force yourself to throw up! And no diet-pills, they're usually not very good for you especially if you have a small frame already.
