Heptune answered Friday June 17 2005, 6:03 pm: I would suggest looking into Barbizon. You can learn a lot from them about show business in general, and they will help you get connected. You will have to decide for yourself if you think their programs are worth the money, but my son has been very happy with his experiences with them. He is also 14. They have done wonders for his self-confidence, helped him hone his abilities, and have given him sound advice. [ Heptune's advice column | Ask Heptune A Question ]
missxmel answered Sunday June 12 2005, 11:22 pm: The next time you compete ask one of the judges about how to continue your career in vocal performance , or ask your vocal teacher . If they think you have what it takes they will refer you to someone who can help. I know what you mean when you want to get noticed , im an awesome singer but until recently no one even knew , so make sure you are involved in as many musical activites as possible! LoveNJstyle answered Sunday June 12 2005, 12:09 pm: ive wanted to also...all you can do is wait. there are like no competitions open to teens because some people suck and they get all mad lol. if you have talent, why not put it into theater? thats what my voice teacher told me and now im trying out for a show. <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]
ideals answered Saturday June 11 2005, 8:30 pm: There's no really way to get noticed, unless if you have some very good connections. Personally, a scout went up to me while I was shopping in the mall if I wanted to model for Playboy. Little did they know I'm only 17. lol. It's the most random-ist stuff ever.
But, since you do vocal competitions, and I used too... ask your conductor if he/she knows anything about possible nation-wide competitions because I'm sure there will be scouts/agents looking for new talent to sign up.
GOODLUCK LOVELY!
Let me know how everything works out! :)
