Question Posted Thursday June 9 2005, 6:52 pm

I'm a 16 year old female..I am 5'2 weighing 105 pounds. People say I'm thin...what they don't know is I have 3 layers of fat on my tummy..I often find myself "sucking in" all day. What can I do? Everyone always says crunches..but they're not helping. Please give some detailed advice and tell me what to do..tell me how to do it. Thanks so much-I need to get abs in 2 weeks! Yikes!

i doubt you can get abs in to weeks but your tummy can get flat. you should probably diet, do lots of cardio, go to the gym too. drink lots of water, eat lots of protein and stay active. i hope it helps hunny!

i don't think you're going to get abs in 2 weeks. It's not that easy. it takes time.

lay down with your hands under your butt, then lift your legs up in the air and slowly bring them down to about six inches off the ground, then repeat a couple of times...that excerise will work your abs and build them too.
hope i helped.

Crunches help tone your body, they don't help you lose weight.

The best thing I've ever done, and still continue to do is YOGA. Maybe people believe that it's a "pussy" workout or whatever, but it seriously is so hardcore. I burn so many calories in just 30 minutes and if you do it with your friends on a daily basis, not only will you have SO MUCH FUN, but you'll look hot! lol.

GOODLUCK LOVELY!

well no offense but you are thin. but i think i know ur drift.(i cant tell my weight because its embarrasing) well because my friends says i am not fat at all and i actually wears medium sized clothes. and all that BUT because i suck in my stomach like you do ... and since they think i am not all that fat they ask me to go swimming with them. but NOO way that i am going to show them my fat thigh and "rolls" with bikini swim suit. i mean i can wear tankini but still i will be compared to the other girls and my tighs will still show... so i totally understand you.

i find my self sucking in all day too.

and i get so jealous at those girls who are so super skinny in magazine and my friends who can show off their body in bikini..

so i started exercising... well i always start doing that but i quit like in 1 day. i did crunch, the video thing, and salsa, the video thing. and finally i decided to just do the mini stepper thing i bought few months ago. i know people dont have that always but if your house have stairs or something like that then try walking on those. well hmm this is hard to explain. but i will do my best

just use one stair and go up down up down and stuff..
well if your family is financially ok then you should get a tredmills or mini stepper.

and dont try to just get abs... since you are doing the exercising go for whole body..

and thats more important because if you do whole body, it will get in shape and looks better .

i mean imagine this. girl with skinny flat stomach with thick thighs and arms... not that you are that or anything but it will be better if your whole body got the energy.

so do that for 30 min per day. and you will start losing weight..

i mean i started doing that for 2 weeks straight and i lost 4 pound already. but i might gained some because i lost the motivation and started snacking like pig and not doing the exercising..
but i am starting again

and oh yea,,, importantly! do not snack like pig like me... its a major kill for the exersize...

so lay off those chips and all that junk food and eat healty and you cant skip a meal because the calroies you take is calroies you lose. so if you only eat a little you will lose only little weight even if you exercies like maniac.

so remind your self to eat healty and if you mouth is craving for something, eat fruits and veggies. well fruits taste better .

and let me know how it went ok?

because i am trying to lose some weight and if you know any way to get motivated let me know.
