How do i lose weight fast?

Ok. I'm overweight and i want to lose about 30 to 40 lbs over the summer. I've tried adkins but it isnt workin. I was wondering if there are any diets i can do to help out while exercising (because just that isnt workin either). If you have any ideas i would appriciate them. Thanks.

sign up for weight watchers!! i know people who have done it and it worked for them really good because you can eat whatever you want to, its just about how much of it you eat. make sure you get in atleast 30 minutes of exercise a day -- atleast 2 miles is what doctors recomend! and drink LOTS of water. if you do this you can lose atleast 20 pounds in a month!!

go on the south beach diet. its not like other diets, because you can still get all your needed nutrients. the main idea of the diet is low carb, high fiber. dont each regular bread and pasta- go for the whole wheat pasta, its a lot healthier for you.

for the exercise- just find something that you ENJOY doing or you wont stick with it. try yoga, running, swimming, basketball, going on walks, treadmill, aerobics videos or class.

you could always go on a crash diet. if you dont know what that is its where you eat light foods like salad etc, and drink water until you lose the amount of pounds you wanna lose...just dont drink any kind of fruit drink..they dont help you lose weight at all because of the sugar in them

ok to add to what the person before me said, dont drink soda at all. Ok the next thing is eat less. I dont know what you eat now but you might want to cut down. Next is no fast food. Also only have a snack 2 hours after each meal and it can only be a fruit or vegitable. Dont work out right after eating. I recommend eating after a workout 30 min or so (wait until your body cools down).

Well, I wouldn't do a diet. I would just try to set limits for myself. Try to eat less junk food and cut down on portions. Only eat when you are hungry or it is a meal (no snacking because you are sad, depressed, etc) DO EAT! It has been proven that if you don't eat you are apt to gain more weight once you start eating again. Also, try to take daily jogs. This will make you slimer and healthier. Hopee I helped!
